Born in Fukuoka and currently lives in Kanagawa. Graduated from Kyushu Institute of Design. After working as a street artist in Fukuoka, moved to Kanagawa Prefecture in 2002 and began creating art in earnest. His representative works are "Samurai" and "Athlete" series. He actively participates in exhibitions in Japan and abroad, and won the "E-Plus Award" at the art fair "UNKNOWN ASIA" in 2015.

Ryohei Yamashita, an artist who expresses "dynamism," will hold his last solo art exhibition at "chignitta space," a community space for culture transmission, in 2021. He is a popular illustrator and painter who specializes in motifs of athletes and samurais, and his energetic style of drawing with bold composition and brush strokes attracts people's hearts and is supported by a wide range of fans.

Recently, Yamashita's work has been seen more and more in the social scene, such as in the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line Public Art Installation Project, where he created stained glass art for Gaienmae Station, the closest station to the new National Stadium. Yamashita's illustrations for the cover of the magazine "Tarzan," the Nike Japan headquarters, murals in Starbucks stores in Umeda and Ebisu, the official visuals for the Olympic sailing team, and corporate advertisements for Mizuho Financial Group using the Olympic Games as a motif have also attracted a great deal of attention.

This exhibition will be an opportunity to enjoy the current form of his work, which is expanding its range of expression while maintaining the theme of "dynamism. In addition to his works featuring athletes, the "Blue ocean" series, which dynamically depicts the sea of Shonan, where his studio is located, will be exhibited for the first time.
