Chignitta is pleased to present Tomoko Konae's solo exhibition “Personal Knitting” starting October 4th. This exhibition features knitted works that serve as a diary, reexamining the artist's deeply personal daily life through the lens of knitting. What kind of exhibition emerges when knitting is added to private records of daily life—playful moments with her beloved cat, items purchased that day, thoughts—? Please come see for yourself at chignitta. Additionally, a workshop is planned for the opening day. Why not enjoy knitting in an artistic space at the start of autumn and spend a wonderful time?

Tomoko Konae
Crochet artist. Seeking to express rigid textures through soft materials using crochet, she began creating three-dimensional works featuring geometric motifs born from a graphic design approach. While experimenting with crochet techniques, she recently began crafting strange creatures inspired by fungi and other organisms.。
