Chignitta is pleased to present Mayu Kakiuda's solo exhibition “Edges of Light” starting September 20th. Tsunoda, who loves collecting vintage toys and objets d'art and incorporates them into her work, creates pieces filled with quiet elation and rich textures. Alongside original artworks, goods such as T-shirts and smartphone holders will be available. A gallery talk featuring her mentor, Hiro Sugiyama, as a guest speaker will also be held. As the exhibition title “Edges of Light” suggests, please enjoy Kakuda's art space composed in sweet tones.

Mayu Kakuda
Graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design, Department of Information Design. Currently works as a designer and illustrator at Enlightenment. Also active as a painter.
Fascinated by the textures of vintage kitsch toys and objects, she collects them personally and incorporates them as motifs in her work.
