Artist's comment

For Your Eyes Only"

"Communication is imperfect and messy.

There is no expression that can be conveyed 100% to others, even to close friends, not to mention words, dance, or painting. I can't escape the cage of my subjectivity and my head feels cramped. At times like that, I leave the house. Traveling is even better. A wind blows and light shines in the midst of a busy work conscious. It was such a natural progression that I first thought of painting a landscape. Perhaps it was the accumulation of painting murals on the streets from the rising of the morning sun until the setting of the evening sun, but there were many landscapes I wanted to paint. I respond with my brush to the way the world is shaped by a single light source, its reflections, transmission, and interference, as each truth of the world.

I take a deep breath in the contrast between the drama of light created by backlighting, frontlighting, cloudy skies and sunny skies, and the invisible things that humans carry inside of them. I hope I can convey to you, even just a little, that the world can only be seen through one's own subjective eyes.
