What I always draw is “women.”
Manga, coloring books, dress-up dolls—the world ingrained in me
from childhood and the “joy of drawing girls”
remain at the core of my work to this day.
I do not predetermine the meaning or message of my work
. I simply hope that those who stand before my paintings will sense
something unique to themselves.
The large heads with ambiguous outlines did not arise
from any specific intention; rather, they are forms that emerged as I continued to draw.
I feel that they represent my “endlessly flowing thoughts.”
I myself yearn for “freedom within my mind” and continue to explore it.
Yukiko Fujino

Born in Osaka. Studied at Setsu Mode Seminar in Tokyo and worked as an illustrator. Afterward, he took a break from creating art for a while.
He resumed painting during the lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was then that he discovered canvas and acrylic paints, which brought about a significant shift in his artistic expression.
Gaining a sensibility entirely different from his previous work in watercolor, line art, and digital media, he became deeply immersed in his practice, eventually developing his current style.
In 2024, she signed with Big Eyes Art Gallery in Bologna, Italy, and held solo and group exhibitions. In 2025, she received the Yoshihiro Taniguchi Jury Award at the Different Kyomachibori Art Fair.
