Chignitta will hold a solo exhibition of Tokyo-based illustrator agoera entitled “ENGRAVE” from June 17.

agoera depicts ordinary scenes of daily life with a simple, light-filled touch,
His works include illustrations for illustrations and advertisements.
In his first solo exhibition in Osaka in five years, original works painted with acrylic paints on plywood will be exhibited and sold.
A gallery talk will be held in conjunction with the opening reception on June 17 (Sat.) from 5:00 p.m.
Prologue to the solo exhibition “ENGRAVE
I like old tools and collect them.
The stains and scratches on them remind me of the time that has passed, and I can imagine what kind of person owned them, how many people they have been in the hands of, and the stories they have told me,
I can imagine what kind of person had it, how many people it has been in their hands, and the story that the object has spent.
Traces connect me to the memories of the object.
The process of spreading paint with a brush is an expression that marks the passage of time.
There is time in each brushstroke,
A story is created in which a still moment begins to move within the layers of brushstrokes.
The traces I leave behind,
I hope that the traces I leave behind will give birth to a variety of images.
